Enrique is an aviation professional based in Colombia with extensive experience in both flight operations and safety management. Passionate about aviation safety and operational excellence, he has built a career focused on strengthening safety culture and implementing industry best practices within airline environments.

Enrique has held key leadership positions in safety at Avianca, including Senior Operational Safety Advisor and Head of Operational Safety. During this time, he played a critical role in the development, implementation, and oversight of Safety Management Systems (SMS), as well as in advancing risk management and safety assurance processes across the organization. His dual experience allows him to effectively bridge frontline operations with strategic safety oversight.

Enrique holds ATPL and CPL licenses issued by Colombian and U.S. authorities and has completed specialized training in IOSA auditing, Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS), Human Factors, Safety Risk Management, and accident investigation. He is committed to supporting continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of safety in aviation.
